My favorite teacher in school is Ms. Smith. She was my sixth-grade science teacher,
and I loved every week during the school year that I got to spend with her.
Ms. Smith had a very small class size compared to some of the
other classes in the building, so there were only around 10 students per class.
This allowed us to work on hands-on activities instead of
listening to lectures for the entirety of class.
She was very understanding and caring about students' lives
outside of school. She even knew my friends' names!
If there were ever any problems or issues, she would always make
herself available at lunch or after school. I remember one time my brother was
in the hospital and my mom couldn't pick me up after school, and Ms. Smith
didn't hesitate to stay later than her normal hours just so I could get my
homework done and not be behind my other classmates.
I was completely shocked by how much my grades improved in her Science class,
whenever I got a bad grade She would make sure to help me no matter what my problem was.
She helped me with my Math homework, my French homework my anything my parents couldn't figure out.
I remember my favorite project we did with her was building a
solar oven out of paper cups and aluminum foil.
When my mom found out how much I loved my science class, she
bought me a solar oven.
It's one of my favorite memories from my school days! Ms. Smith
is a very dedicated and amazing teacher who made my experience in sixth grade unforgettable.
